Who is BillnPS?
I live in Palm Springs, CA with my two mini dachshunds, Oscar and Jake. I also have a home in Seaford, DE so I travel back and forth between the two often. In addition, I have a place on the island of Kauai’i in Hawaii.
When traveling between Palm Springs and Seaford, I usually travel in my motorhome and tend to take different routes just to break up the boredom.
I thought it would be interesting to create this Travel Blog since I always have a digital camera and digital video camera with me and I can share my travels as they occur with family and friends.  Of course, it would be great to make new friends along the way either in person or in the wonderful world of the web.
I’m somewhat retired. I say somewhat because when I retired and came to Palm Springs at 45 years old it didn’t take long to get bored. I mean, you can only plant so many flowers and lay in the sun so ofter until you get bored out of your mind. So, I started another business, computer related and it keeps me fairly busy.  The motorhome is equipped with a high speed internet connection….two actually, satellite and Verizon, so I can work as I travel.
I’m now 59 years years old, which amazes me. I can remember clearly when in college we used to say; “never trust anyone over 30″. My parents were in their 40’s and that seemed ancient to me. Well, now I’m almost 60 but I guess I still think like a 30 year old and keep busy with work and travels.
So, for my family and friends…..and all the new friends I hope to meet, travel with me vicariously as I criss cross this wonderful country of ours.

Good Morning Bill, I’m looking to to start Rving full time can you help with alot of tips, like income ideas, RV, internet connection, I want to start in 1-2 years at most, any tips can help, Thank You, in advance, Joseph
Hi Joseph,
I am not a fulltimer so I can only give you some limited advice, but will sure do what I can.
As for an internet connection. I have both a Moto-Sat, Satellite connection and Verizon Wireless. Moto-Sat is good, but VERY expensive. Satellite connections are only as good a clear shot to the SW sky, so any thick cloud cover or trees can prevent connection.
Verizon, I find, I use much more. Cost is MUCH less, speeds are better and except for the unusual locations where the Verizon signal is not strong, I always get good reception.
I would recommend Verizon.
As for employment, check out: http://www.workersonwheels.com/working.html
Many campgrounds hire fulltimers to work at the Campgrounds during their season. Since you will be on wheels, you can travel where the seasons are.
As for types of RV, gee, there are so many to choose from, it all depends on how much you are willing to spend and the luxuries your want. You may prefer, like me, a Class A motorhome, where others may prefer a 5th wheel set up. The one thing I know for sure is DO NOT BUY A NEW ONE. The IMMEDIATE decrease in value is astounding and nearly ALL new units come with tons of bugs that need to be corrected.
Your best bet is to try to fine an RV that is one or two years. The major portion of the depreciation has already happened and most of the bugs have been worked out.
There are MANY, MANY good used units available for sale. I would try to buy from a private seller who either can’t afford the RV he has, or just plain did not like RV’ing. Always have an RV mechanic go over the until before purchasing.
Hope this helps and much good look to you.
Bill
