First Post

Just created this blog at www.blogdumps.com.  Took about 2 minutes. UNBELIEVABLE!  Thanks wolbernz for making this possible.

I’m BillnPs and I’m currently in Palm Springs but getting ready to head back to Seaford, DE in my motorhome so I thought I might chronicle my journey from one cost to another, take a few picutres and keep everyone informed of the travels and the kind of weather and other stuff I run into.

Oscar at 7 weeks and me

I’ll be traveling with my two mini-doxie….Oscar and Jake.  Assuming we hit some snow, which looks like we will, this will be the first time either have seen snow, so that should be interesitng.   Here is a photo of Oscar and me.  I’ll post pics of Jake and Oscar together soon.  Oscar is a wire hair doxie and Jake is a dapple long hair.

Big Bertha the Motorhome

The motorhome is a 45 foot long  2005 Essex, made by Newmar, affectionately named “Big Bertha”,  in Nappanee, IN.  I’ll be pulling a 2008 Saturn Vue.  For those of you who don’t know where Nappanee, IN is, it’s just south of I-80 in northern Indiana, which makes me think I’ll most likely be hitting some snow.

On the way I’ll be stopping off in Hastings, NE to visit my daughter, son in law, and first grandchild, “Sam”.  Sam is really Samantha Natalie, but I like Sam.

Sam’s the day she was born

The photo above, from left to right, is John, my partner, Sam (the little one), Brandy (my daughter) and Tom, (my son in law).

Once I get to the factory at Newmar, I’ll be leaving the coach there and Oscar, Jake and I will then drive the Saturn on in to Delaware across the Indiana Turnpike, Ohio Turnpike, eventually to I-70, then making our way south to the Balto/DC area and then on across the Bay Bridge and eventually to Seaford.

We leave on Wed, Dec 12, and hope to arrive in Seaford on the 17th.  Stay tuned as we make our way across.  Hope to get some interesting photos for you.
